Saat ini kelompok Keilmuan Fisiologi, Perkembangan Hewan dan Sains Biomedika (KK FPHSB) beranggotakan 10 orang dosen peneliti, dengan cakupan bidang keilmuan meliputi (1) struktur, (2) biologi sel, (3) fisiologi, (4) biologi perkembangan, (5) toksikologi, dan (6) immunologi. Terdapat enam topik riset utama yang dilakukan di KK FPHSB yaitu, (1) biologi perilaku, (2) entomologi medis, (3) nutrigenomics, fisiologi, dan studi penyakit, (4) reproduksi dan biologi perkembangan, (5) studi kanker dan toksikologi, dan (6) penuaan dan penyembuhan luka.
