COMET TEST TRAINING

This training is a collaboration between Physiology, Animal Development and Biomedical Science Group of Expertise and BATAN research institute to provide new skills of their researcher about comet test. Application of comet tests are very important in many research conducted by BATAN to evaluate the effects of radiation on DNA damage. This training involved a member of FPHSB RG who is an expert in comet test, Dr. Ayda T. Yusuf.

WORKSHOP BASIC CELL CULTURE AND CELL ANALYSIS USING FLOW CYTOMETRY

Physiology, Animal Development and Biomedical Science Group of Expertise collaborate with BD Biosciences, supplier of flow cytometry, to organize a workshop entitled “Workshop on Basic Cell Culture and Cell Analysis Using Flow Cytometry “. This event held to answer the needs of the industry and research institutes, especially from health and medical fields, related to cell culture techniques and its applications, as well as the implementation of knowledge and skills possessed by members of PADBS RG.

EMPOWERMENT OF TRADITIONAL FISHERMAN GROUP IN SEI KAKAP, WEST BORNEO

This community service activity was supported by LPPM-ITB and intended to exploit the potential of the community in Sei Kakap, West Borneo through their biological resource , the Nipah worms, by giving the better technology to cultivate the Nipah worms. This community service activity lasted for two years from 2014 to 2015 and involve members from Physiology, Animal Development and Biomedical Science Group of Expertise such as Dr. Ahmad Ridwan and Dr. Tjandra Anggraeni.

EMPOWERMENT OF BANANA’S FARMER GROUP IN WERA SARI, SUBANG, WEST JAVA

This community service activity taking place during 2015 and involve member of Physiology, Animal Development and Biomedical Science Group of Expertise, Dr. Tjandra Anggraeni. The purpose of this activity is to educate a group of Banana’s farmers in Wera Sari Subang , West Java, about the alternative methods to controlling blood diseases insect vector using bio-insecticide repellent.

 

DEVELOPMENT OF DENGUE KIT [RESEARCH]

One of Physiology, Animal Development and Biomedical Science Group of Expertise, Dr. Wardono Niloperbowo, join a collaboration with Biochemistry Group of Expertise from Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, ITB in integrated research entitled Development of Dengue Kit. This research have been conducted for 3 years since 2014 and financially supported by Ministry of Higher Education.

DEVELOPMENT OF HBS-AG VACCINE [RESEARCH]

One of Physiology, Animal Development and Biomedical Science Group of Expertise, Dr. Wardono Niloperbowo, join a collaboration with Biotechnology Pharmacy RG from Pharmacy Study Program, School of Pharmacy, ITB in integrated research entitled Development of HbS-Ag Vaccine. This research have been conducted for 3 years since 2014 and financially supported by Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education.

DEVELOPMENT OF BONE SCAFFOLD WITH ANTICANCER PROPERTIES [RESEARCH]

One member of our group of expertise, Dr. Marselina I. Tan, made a research collaboration with lecturer from Physics Engineering, FTI ITB, Prof. Bambang Sunendar , and also cooperated to guide the undergraduate student from Biology together.

DEVELOPMENT OF BIO-BASED MATERIAL SCAFFOLDS FOR TISSUE ENGINEERING [RESEARCH]

One member of our group of expertise, Dr. Anggraini Barlian, made a research collaborations with lecturer from Material Engineering, FTMD ITB, Dr. Hermawan, and also cooperated to guide the research student together. This research involved the last grade undergraduate students who conducted a final research , both from Biology study program and from Materials Engineering Department.

WORKSHOP BASIC CELL CULTURE AND CELL ANALYSIS USING FLOW CYTOMETRY

Workshop open for public about the basic techniques of cell culture and cell culture analysis using flow cytometry. Involving 16 participants from industry or research institutes such as BATAN, biopharma, RS Dharmais , Faculty of medicine-RSCM, FKG-UNPAD, Universitas Negeri Malang.

ANTI-AGING MECHANISM USING NANO-PROPOLIS IN HUMAN NORMAL SKIN CELLS INDUCED BY UV IRADIATION [RESEARCH]

Research funded by the Center of Advanced Science (CAS) and JICA was included in the research program Development of ITB. In this research, one member of our Group of Expertise, Dr. Anggraini Barlian, conducted a collaboration research with lecturer from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences ITB, Dr. Suprijadi and lecturer from Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Airlangga University, Dr. Febdian Rusydi, to conduct integrated research that combines biological and computational modeling analysis of the biological parameters which are used in this research.

CONTROL OF BANANA BLOOD DISEASE SPREADING IN INDONESIA [RESEARCH]

Research on controlling the spread of Blood Banana disease in banana plants by control the communication between the insect vector of the disease by banana plants . The study involved collaboration with Osaka University and supported by the KLN Research of Higher Education Department.

CULTURE SURFACE DESIGN TO DIRECT COMMITMENT OF HUMAN MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS TO MYOGENIC LINEAGE [RESEARCH]

This research collaboration was supported by UNESCO Biotechnology School in Asia program, where selected students of SITH ITB could conduct the final task research in Osaka University. Within the program, graduate students under supervision from Dr. Anggraini Barlian got a chance to conduct research under the guidance of Prof. Masahiro Kino-oka in Osaka University. The program then generated a research collaboration and collaboration of student supervising.
